I placed my pumps in the stub wings and, during flight, I
cannot hear the pitch change as the pumps run dry -- maybe someone with
pumps under the seat and ANR headsets can hear them run dry.

Try Thomas Products-

They have flow switches that open/close when fluid is flowing.  I am
installing these as a complicated alternative to the 2 sight tubes.

I initially got the 1900 switch, 0.1 GPM flow swithc point, 1/4 NPT, SPDT,
in brass (aluminum is available for "large" orders).    However, it was
quite heavy (1.8 lbs ? for 2), so I ordered the model: 2100 in ploysulfone
(much lighter) with the adapters for NPT.  I understand the polysulfone is
fuel proof and think it will work fine, although I know aluminum/brass is
preferable.

I also have an auto. fuel transfer using the Skysport sender and 2 relays,
which has been fantastic over 120 hours (drawings should be on the LML in
the near future).  I plan on having 2 additional red indicator lights wired
to the flow switches, which would come on when the pumps are running but no
fuel is flowing.  Clark Baker
