Greg,
My original data plate that passed was aluminum, had a sticky-back as many, many I have seen. Further, I can't recall seeing any data plate that was not aluminum. (Experimental and Certified). I suppose one could drill a hole and pop-rivet it on, but I am not clear on aluminum as not a suitable material. Is there an FAR on this?
I have the option of doing stainless steel, but it cost a whole lot more.
Please advise, because I think most all of us are wondering. Don

My AB-DAR won't pass an aluminum data plate and also won't pass it being applied with adhesive anything. Doesn't meet the regs in either case. Neither will DAS FED. Greg T |
