I handled this for my current plane by grinding down 4 rivets to the bare head plus a shank the thickness of my data plate. I applied double-sided tape to the plate and applied to the plane, then inserted the bogus rivets. Passed inspection fine and is still on the plane 4 years later. Robert M.
