I bought a quick drain from A/S.  I have a hose that slips over the end of the quick drain and goes to a 5 gallon gas can on the floor.  I poke a couple holes in my oil filter and wait an hour or so before removing the filter, loosen it slowly and let it sit again and you shouldn't get much of a drip at all from the filter.
