My solution would be to use two 12 volt batteries (in series) for starting
and charging, then tap off one of the batteries for my 12 volt circuits.
Good Luck  Bill Hogarty

Sorry, Bill.
I tried taking 12 volts from one battery when two were connected to make 24
volts.  Did this on other than our current lancair. Did not work. The
battery  that the 12 volts were being off from was alway dead. The
alternator will not put extra charge into the battery that is lower than the
other one. We are now using two 24 volt batteries in our ES and two  24
alternators. Use a converter for the 12 volt mac servoes.  We like it.
Would probobly be satisfied with two 12 volts also.(to make 12 volts)  All
electric system, no vac. pump.
Just returned from OSH.
