John Link,

I chose the Avia prop for several reasons.  It was less expensive, and I could get blades specifically tailored to the IVP airframe.

It has paid off in  a slightly higher cruise speed, but it cut down the climb rate.  My climb rate at 1 pilot and full fuel is about 4300 ft/min. (Hot weather at initial density altitude of 2300 feet)  This still puts me at 10,000 feet in 3 minutes or less.  At 17,500 ft, I had a true airspeed of 353 knots.  This is being very conservative with with the power settings.

Needless to say, I am happy with the performance.   Now, on with the air-conditioning and sealing up for the pressurization.

So far I have 11.1 hours of very trouble free operation.   Adjusting the engine control linkages have been the biggest problems.
