What happened? 

Everybody busy this year? 

Afraid to push the throttle in? 

Can't figure out how to get from Dayton to Oshkosh? 

Given up on the high speed entry to Air Venture?

Memory fading and you just forgot?

Or is it just a case of wussiness?

Latest news is that there are only 25 race entries -- That the Polen Special (turbo charged) will be in the retractable 360 class instead of the turbo charged 1000 CI or less class where it belongs -- That there are few Lancair 320 and 360 entries so that there would only be one class.

 

Come on, let's get on it.  Even though May 30 is the sign-up deadline, I am sure if you called on Tuesday after Labor Day you could get in on it.

 

 

Go there, get the application, make the call on Tuesday, 1 June.  Reserve a slot, race against your fellow Lancair brethren.  Watch a fire breathing 320 scare those fancy-pants 360 tag-alongs. 

 

Also, send an e-mail to Eric Whyte (race organizer, probable e-mail addr: ericwhyte@wi.rr.com) whining that turbo'd aircraft belong in the Turbo class.  I know that I have!

 

What do you people do with your plane if you don't race it?  Tippi-Toe from point A to point B? Do pattern work? Huh? Huh?
