I used one very similar, but it had a ¼"setback on the lip so I had to
use a ¼"spacer to make it flush. It looks good and works fine. I still
wish that I had used the servo from All Electronics ,so that the door could
double as a cowl flap. Remember my hinge is perpendicular to line of flight.
I also made my door 3½" by 4½" which is too small.

(part number H5000-2, p171 in the 96 catalog under the "Miscellaneous"
heading) in an older Wicks catalog... it looks just like the latches that
are used on the dipstick access doors found on Pipers
[Thanks for the input... my panels will finish out around 5" wide by about
10" long, but since they are in the forward deck and not the cowl, latches
are really all I need. My hinges will be parallel to the direction of
flight, the access panels will open from the center outboard.
