I didn't see any advantage to install a 60 amp circuit breaker on my panel.
I installed a current limiter on my firewall instead.  The 60 amp current
limiter  came out of the Starship and is available through any Beach dealer
and probably less expensive from other sources.  You will need to make your
own holder which I made out of phenolic and brass hardware store bolts. The field circuit breaker for the alternator is on my panel but that is
only a few amps.

If you pop the 60 amp breaker, it may not be a good idea to reset it in
flight!  I also don't like the idea of running the potentially noisy
alternator feed directly to the panel distribution bus.  It is better to
run the alternator feed to the battery since the battery will act as a
noise filter.  The power distribution bus should be powered from the
battery not the alternator.  Yup, I know they all eventually connect to the
same place anyway, but the feeds and connections do have resistance, and
doing it with some understanding of electrics will make for a quieter
system.

I had one guy tell me he likes the KIS concept.  To  hear the wine of the
alternator in the headset was his confirmation that the alternator is
working thus does not need a charging meter etc.  Amazing how many
approaches and solutions there are to the same problem.
