The manual says it would be best to give the panel 2 or 3 deg of tilt
from vertical but does not go on to say in which direction. What say all
of you?

[Angier, since eye-level is considerably above panel height, and the idea
of tilting the panel is to help eliminate parallax problems when reading
the gauges, I would imagine that the tilt should be top forward.  That
would provide a more straight-on view of the instruments.  It's the same
reason that some panels have the radio stack and engine instruments
tilted to the left (ie, right sides further aft), to minimize parallax
errors by making the Pilot's plane of vision and the devices being viewed
closer to parallel.               <Marv>  ]
