Happy New Year fellow rotary installers! After working a 13B installation on my 9A project since 2002 or so, I have now decided to give in to the “dark side”, and install a Lycoming IO-360 that I was able to purchase for a relatively “reasonable” price. As such I thought I’d offer up my 86 13B FWF to anyone on this list who might have a use for it to fast track their project, etc. It was overhauled in early 2000 and flew for about 90 hrs. on a Glasair, and I purchased it in 2005/6 and began the install on my 9A.
In March of last year I pulled it apart and installed new apex seals o-rings, etc., and compression were 90’s-low 100.s when checked a few months ago. If there isn’t any interest here, then I’ll put it on the RV / Contact FB list. The redrive is left hand rotation, and I’d like to get $5K out of it.
I’m going to continue to fly Dennis Haaverlah’s 2007 RV-7A with Renesis (1013 hrs. now), and will have to decide what to do with that, once the 9A is flying in a year or so.
