I flew a 4.0 hr. three leg sortie yesterday and continue to get used to the Renesis powered 7A, built by Dennis Haverlah and first flown in 2007. I cruised at 5500 - 6500 ft. and averaged 8.5 gph; landing with about 6 gallons remaining. The engine has performed great thus far and hot or cold only requires 1-1.5 blade turn to fire off. Oil temps are a little higher than I’d like, and I routinely see 212 degrees in the climb to 5500 ft., and it then drops to about 185 degrees while cruising. Water has yet to go over 150 degrees, and is usually about 135-145 degrees.
