I saw a spur gear reduction in one of the big box builDings, but didn't write down the name. It had a version with no offset, I will try to get info tomorrow

Hello group,
I have been off line lately because of my moving , but I am catching up.
I too am looking for a solution to the PSRU issue and will be starting on my plane in a few weeks. Any info or research that anyone knows of as to how we can solve this problem would be appreciated.
So far, the Ballistic is the only thing I can find and it will be a task with the 6 inch offset as far as the mount goes.
I'll check back in in a few days and I will finally have internet at the shop starting Tues.
Thanks

Absent a viable PSRU solution, there probably is no, “rotary engine option”…  :>(

…… no sign of rotaries.

What I have found is that if you want there to be a Rotary Engine forum, you have to do it yourself.
If I had a flying Rotary, I would be willing to do this but as I do not, it would not be appropriate.

We should make an effort to have a “Fly Rotary” forum and present our case for the Rotary Engine as a viable alternative to the piston solution.
I would propose that this comes from our group rather than as a piggy-back on to any of the other alternative engine groups.
I would not want for our engine solution to be sandwich between the Corvair, Subaru and Volkswagen groups.

If you want to see it there, you have to make it happen.
