Not sure what happened with the program knob. Tracy replaced one of my control module units thus allowing me to do some tuning. I have two EC2's but only one working control module. I may ask Tracy if he has another control module in his new old stock so I have two complete units (or, continue my appeal here if anyone has one (doubtful since the control module came with each EC2). Or, maybe I can get a local electronics guy to look at the knob, it may be child's play to one versed in the topic. Not sure what trashed the engine. Perhaps the problem I had with the front cover o-ring. As I mentioned, the rear stationary bearing was trashed. It had not been replaced during the rebuild process as it appeared good. When I had the engine apart this time I replaced the rear stationary bearing as well as the rear rotor bearing as it had slight wear and I had a bearing sitting on the shelf. The front stationary bearing had been replaced and still looked good. Currently, the oil pressure seems solid. I get over 100 psi at high power with the higher pressure regulator. Just read your news... congratulations on your second first flight! Were you able to figure out if the problem with the EC-2 program knob travel a cause for the trashed engine?

Subject: [FlyRotary] Just landed, plane reusable. Well, it took several months and countless frustrations following an engine out a while back; but I flew my N/A 13b powered Velocity SE today. Just one circuit at Pearland Municipal -LVJ (formerly Clover Field). I have yet to notice any squawks and the engine seemed smooth and responsive. I had to coursen the IVO in-flight adjustable prop a bit as I noted engine speed a bit over 6500 rpm and prop kissing 2800 (not sure the exact corresponding numbers hoe the two cuz when I saw 6500, I throttled back and then noticed the high prop speed on the Dynon SkyView. I need to down load the Dynon data log and see what I may have missed. I figured some of y'all may be curios. All the best,
