I had poured a gallon and a half into the engine, and I'm sure that all the air pocket hadn't been filled.  For instance, I'm sure the cooler was still empty cause I'd never gotten the temperature up to open the valve.  I'm not seeing the point of flying around with nearly two gallons of oil.

That is why I didn’t use it.  I adapted a 1988 13B pan to the engine mounting plate .  seems like I had to drill 3 holes and install helicoils to make it work.    Takes 8 quarts to fill it up from dry.  No leaks so far.

     Renesis pan is very shallow..........would be difficult to get much oil capacity

without adding a deeper sump..............

Well, maybe not.  I just checked and it is bent on the bottom.  It does have the  oil level sensor in it tho…

What I have began life as an FC pan.  I cut off the flange, and layed up a fiberglass sump.  It has a slow leak at the rear, right where the glass meets the flange.  You know, where it was difficult to test.  If I could fit the Renesis pan, I think I would.  Except for the bolt pattern, I think it would slide right in with out requiring in further modifications.

Kelly, do you have any FC pans?
