Kevin, I also had AN16 fittings brazed to the radiators and used same size stainless steel braided lines.  While I have flown successfully with that combination for 10 years, I must admit that in hindsight, I think it was an unnecessary, heavy  and expensive overkill.  But, back 10+ years ago it seemed the way to go.

Regular radiator bungs (rather than AN fittings) and good quality radiator hose is the way to go in my opinion. It will work fine, be lighter and a whole lot cheaper.   I believe they make (might check EARLS) a regular AN16-hose fitting for regular radiator hose.  If you find some of those then you won’t need to use that expensive SS braided line.

not really thinking I had AN16 fittings welded to my water radiator.  was this wrong?  do I need to run braided s/s lines?  $$$   I had just had oil lines made [dash 10's] and wasn't thinking too far ahead I guess.  thought I read tho' that we should always use AN fittings in a/c use.  what hose style is safe and least expensive?     kevin  [my brain's cavitating!]
