Yes, the engine is cooling fine. The benefit that I see to the oil/water exchanger is that it keeps the oil and water tracking together. Although it adds weight, it doesn't add any to the cooling drag.
I doubt I'll be attending the Tallahassee flyin. I'll be doing jury duty. ;-(
