Hi Ernest;
    I wasn't even aware of a do-it-yourself ceramic coating product or I would have done this too. I had my rotors professionally coated during my initial rebuild 6 years ago, but when I rebuilt after a detonation I could see no trace of the coating. If I ever rebuild again I'd like to try this stuff. But in the meantime I'd sure like to try it on my exhaust system, before I bring the plane back to the airport.
    So please post any comments as to your opinion of the product. I understand that may be some time before you run your engine, but let us know about the application process as well.
    I couldn't help but notice the "no airplane" symbol beside each product referring to the shipping, but I'd bet if you told them your intentions for use, they'd say it applies there as well.    No Air Shipping

- ceramic coat the rotors and bearing surfaces.  I was going to pay to
have this done...even got a reference from Bruce.  But while
investigating it, I ran across a comment that stopped me cold.  "Every
time I've paid to have something done and shipped a part off, my part
got trashed."  That has been my experience, so I decided I'm going to do
it myself.  It's more in keeping with what has become the theme of this
project anyway.  That theme being "I did that".  Ordered the Tech Line
Coatings chemicals from Caswell last night.
