Don,

I am surprised that your set up is loud if you have the tangential muffler as well as the Hushpower II.  I had convinced myself that the reason that Dennis’ muffler was so quiet was because he had both a tangential and the Hushpower.  I am in the process of redoing my exhaust to include the Hushpower II but I will not have the tangential muffler.  I will keep you posted on how much improvement I get.  Now it is too loud to think when it is running at WOT.

Do you have any pictures you could post of your install?

Mark,

It's a 2 1/4 in Hushpower II. 304  SS. Muffler was cooler than I thought it would be, but is quite a way from the engine.  The headers go into a small tangential muffler/manifold under the oil pan and  then straight back to the Hushpower under my seat.  Headers and tangetial Jet Coated.  Small exhaust leaks at ball and slip joints and where SS flex clamps on.  A Massive cloud of smoke on start-up, but there was no one around.   Loader than I wanted.  Quieter than the other guys around.  My oil pressure was more like 90 psi as I used a 150 PSI sender and have not calibrated it yet.

Eventually I will transition back to a real life, and take care of all the mundane stuff like reseting the computer clock.
