Mark,
Both Aircraft Spruce and Wicks still
show fiberfrax 24" wide in their online catalogs.

Ed,
Ever consider fixing the oil leak? ;-)
I installed fiberfrax on my upper and lower cowl in the vicinity of the
exhaust system. It woks so well, I consider it a necessity. The
adhesive used for this stuff is different from anything I've ever used.
Its more like buttermilk than glue. But, once dry, it holds well.
As a side note, an RV builder at my airport is looking to purchase
some fiberfrax, but hasn't been able to find it anywhere. My source is
no longer available. Can someone provide a good source so I can
pass it along to this guy?

My
experience with fiberfax was not ideal. I lined the bottom of my
cowling with it to protect the fiberglass from the heat of the exhaust -
unfortunately, it absorbs oil like a wick and I was concerned about
just that. Perhaps,if you cover the fiberfax with something
like SS or anything to keep the oil away, then it may be
OK. I also found it fairly fragile and easy to
tear. Just my experience with it - YMMV
