Hey Buly,
you know about the report in a Cozy Newsletter about sanding the canard chordwise with 400paper - eliminates any rain-issues and any need for VG's...
If you do not have it, I have a "stolen" word-doc with the article...

The Cozy with vortex generators installed on the canard and main
wings, lands 10 mph slower and have better control at slow speeds.
It looses 1-2 mph at the top end. The VG's do the same thing as
dimpled tape, just better.
