I’m an on-again, off-again lurker for the past five years and I’m building a Lancair ES.  In my heart I’ve always wanted to use a 20b, but I’d almost resigned myself to an IO-500 when I came across an ad for a used 20b with 50 hours on it, built by Atkins.  It’s being sold by Mark Lally in North Carolina, who has made a few changes since he bought it.  The engine has been on the market for a while and he’s offering it at a good price.  Before I commit to purchasing and shipping it cross country to California I thought I’d check with the members of the list to see if anyone knows anything about this engine, or about the gentleman who is selling it.  All our interactions have been via email and Mr. Lally has been very helpful, so I want to make sure that nobody thinks I have any reason to doubt him, I’m just trying to do my homework and be an informed buyer.
