I thought you guys, or anyone planning a tear down in the future, would find
this interesting.

I have the front and rear rotors with housings pulled from my 20B.

I cleaned and inspected the housings, both looked great with no appreciable
wear, gouging or grooving.

The rotors were different. Nothing, I mean nothing would come off of the
rotors, not one apex seal, side seal or corner seal. All stuck hard, non
moving. The inner o ring seals were the only things that came off during
disassembly.

I thought I would soak them for a few days in odorless mineral spirits and
come back to them. 4 days later still nothing on the seals. Carbon was caked
on thick, testimony to 4 stroke oil not doing well in a rotor motor.

After scrubbing with a brass brush things began to come off slowly. On the
rear rotor, one apex seal came out in two pieces, broken 3/4s from the end!

If it hadn't been for the carbon build up, the housing would have been a
loss.

Though I now plan to initially go N/A with this engine, I want the peace of
mind that a turbo can be retro-fitted later if I need it.
Those new RWS apex seals are looking awfully good!
