This bugs the crap out of me.
In the e-mail below, how am I supposed to determine
which is the response? The only thing I can do is read
the whole thing or ignore it. Most often I just ignore
it and move on to the next message.

Ed,
Did Richard have anything with the new side
housing running yet.

Hi Rusty,
Yes, Rich told me about wheel landing with a prop
that was longer (well, maybe not now) than he was
used to. Just glad no worst than that. The prop he
had on enabled him to get up to 6600 rpm he stated -
forgot to ask if that was on take off/static or in
the air. Still looked and sounded good.
Yes, I think you would be interested in what
Richard Shon had done with his one rotor. You might
be interested in his side housing. Too bad you
could not make it. Hope to see you next year.

Yes, we had Rusty's Rotary show up (sans Rusty),
guess I'm going to have to stop calling it Rusty's. Rich came to the flyin to learn more about the
rotary engine, so the RV-3 is in good hands. In
fact, I saw Finn eyeing it with a gleam in his eye.
Hi Ed,
Thanks for the kind comments, and great report. I actually thought I'd get an RV-7 friend of mine to
fly me over yesterday, and figured it would be
interesting to walk around anonymously :-) He
already had plans though, so maybe next year. You're right about the plane being in good hands
with Rich Nadig. There are very few people that I
would have been comfortable selling the plane to,
but he's certainly one of them. It should really be
nice by the time he gets done fine tuning some
things. Might need to add a wheel on the front to
protect the prop though :-) I spent the week finishing up the single rotor
engine installation. I'll post some pics later in
the week, when it's closer to being done. Total
weight is around 235 lbs. With any luck, I can make
a leisurely flight to next years roundup. Cheers,
Rusty (maybe canceling the Sonex order tomorrow)
