Hi Barny,

Sorry to hear that you’re abandoning your 20B project, but I can sure understand how/why you may have come to that decision.  My wife has expressed an interest in learning to fly, but just enough to be able to land the a/c in case something were to happen to me.  So far she’s only taken ground school.  She has a horrible sense of direction too.  She’s lucky to find her way from the house to the airport and back.  I just don’t want her learning to fly in my new Lancair, if you know what I mean.

Yes, 1100’ would be a tight squeeze for my bird.  After all the time and money invested, I don’t think I would want to chance it.

I’ll let you know if I hear of someone interested in a 3-rotor.

Selling the MGDQ and 20bt engine.  For a whole bunch of little reasons it is for sale. One of the little reasons was not wanting to put $100K in it to get it they way we want it. I can just imagine what you are doing. The 1100' runway is done in the backyard, probably a little short for the ES.  Sue will be completing her Sport Pilot license by the first of the year. Got a new physical and biannual in a C 182 RG. Will be starting to build the 701 Zenith after selling the MGDQ.  If anyone is interested it is listed in Barnstormers under Murphy, Super Rebel.  Keeping an eye on Rustys single rotor for an engine on the 701.....

There is a good chance that the engine will sell separately from the airframe.  I've had some offers from people who want to put the 20b in a vehicle. Really want to keep it in the "family" if you know what I mean. If all else fails, thinking about building the 20bt for an engine in a Jeep, will keep the hp to no less than 400.

Have a good time at Tracy's. Can't make it this year. Say hi to Bob for me. Will need a ride in the ES when you get it done. Get the ES flying (or Bob's Seawind) so you won't have to watch out for the ladies on those commercial flights!!!!!!!!
