Rusty,  your results are very discouraging to me as I am using the exact same set up as you (Mazda 550’s as primary and MSD 525’s as secondarys), the stock turbo, and TWM throttle body.  I’m just going to stop building until you get it all figured out J

Get LS1 coils and a Tiny Tach and your life will be complete :-)

I appreciate the words of encouragement.  I'm sure I'll get to the bottom of this pretty soon.  My Friday, I'll have the following:

- New software for my EC-2 (not the problem, but adds a programming mode that my old controller doesn't have, and EM-2 compatibility),

- Two new MSD injectors to try in place of the two that I have now.  I'm absolutely sure the ones I have are not flowing what they're supposed to.  I'll try the new ones, and probably send the current ones out for testing to see what they really flow.    I talked to MSD today, and they say they should be 520 cc/min, by anyone's standard testing methods.  We'll see.

- At least one set of heat shields for the turbo.

- Hopefully, a working Tiny Tach.  I called them today, and they said the tach needs a 2V signal to work, and that I probably had a weak signal.  They said I could extend the signal wire, and add more wraps as a test.  I asked them about electrically connecting the signal wire to the LS1 trigger, which is about a 4V square pulse, and they said that should work fine.  I'll probably try extending the wire today, then connect it to the coil trigger if that doesn't work.

Cheers,

Rusty (I don't have no stinkin' light on my EC-2 panel either)
