Do you mean in my plane??? Don't you think a Dyke Delta would be a much
better test bed?
I should try some sort of test however I'm not sure how valuable it
would be unless I can duplicate my engine/cowl/airflow etc, which is not
likely and I'm certainly not going to do the test on my plane. I'll take my system over no system any day of the week, however
it should not need to be said that flying the damn plane is still the
first priority and firefighting duties are secondary.
Of course with the loooong backlog of work I have to do, I don't
know when I'll ever have time to fly again so I don't need to worry
about it :-(

Todd, why not take a piece of aluminum tube, crimp the end to seal it. Run another piece down beside it like in your system with holes every
few inches. Fill the first tube with diesel (burns a little calmer),
crack it and set it on fire. See if the system will put the fire out.
Even worse than having no system is having one that you think will work,
but only wastes valuable time when you really need it.
