Had planned to fly today for the first time with new bigie exit cowl
flap. Yesterday was transferring some old fuel from right aux tank to
right main tank. Looked under the airplane to see a massive puddle of
fuel dumping from the rear of the cowling. Pulled top cowling this am and
ran pumps again, smelled a little fuel (could have been from
yesterday)but could not locate leak with the snake intake ducts and
radiator blocking veiw. Pulled those two items off and back out of way.
Now can see all the fuel lines and their joints. Ran pumps and fuel
pressure holding good (37 psi with one and 38 with two on) but no fuel
leak. Tried to think of something the cowling or intake manifolds could
have been pushing against without coming up  with anything. The fuel system is about as simple as you can make it. 4 way selector in
front of wing spar with left, right, aux, and off. Single feed line to
firewall, a facett boost pump (never used), T'd to two walbro electric
pumps, T'd to single line out of pump box mounted on the firewall, fuel
filter, to rails, to regulator, back to single return line to right main
tank. Lots of fittings but can not feel any wetness on any of them. RTV'd
the plug in the fitting that has screw that backs out.
