Actually that does not look like the pined version.  Never can be 100% sure from a picture but that looks like the version with a plasma cut holes in gear then rosette weld fills the holes.  You can send just the input shaft.  I'll give you some instructions on how to check for proper end play on it.  You may have to change the thickness or number of nylon snubber washers on nose of prop shaft.

Tracy (sigh of relief, sort of)

Tracy,

Here is a pic of my sun gear.  It looks to me like the drill and pin version but I hope I am wrong.  The pin seems to have broken off in shear as I can rotate the 2 parts with my hands.  No external signs of damage however.  At least now we know the weak link in the the drive.

Tomorrow I plan to send off my EC2 and this sun gear, but not the rest of the redrive as all seems in order there.

Please keep im mind that the Computer B started working normally again before I removed it so this is one of those intermittant problems.  However, there problem was sustained and reproducable over several engine starts and at least 10 switches between computers A and B.    Computer A always worked just fine.

Anyway, do you see any reason why you would want me to ship the rest of the drive?
