At some point you might share your observations of Evans coolant vs water, and why you switched back.

I have not completely given up on the Evans.  Best I can tell my temps are 20-40 deg warmer with the evans but that is really hard to tell because I only have 2 brief flights with water and the new intake.  There are a lot of confounding variables and my temp sensor only has a resolution of 10 deg C.  With the Evans I saw cruise temps of 230, climb temps of 250.  No apparent ill effects from those temps

I switched back to water to eliminate the evans as a possible cause for this loss of power thing I have been experiencing.  I still attribute it to compressor surge except for the fact that coolant temp seems to play a role.  Although it is still there, I did see an improvement in my last brief flight but I attribute that to opening up the waste gate rather than the switch back to water.

I kept the evans and will probably put it back in this winter after some more experience with the water and new set up.

The big question is: since the drive is going back to Tracy soon, should I switch to the RD-1C or stick with the B-model?
