What are LS-1 coils please?
George (down under)

Hi George,

LS-1 is an engine designation used by General Motors.  It's an all aluminum 5.7L V.8 that started life as the Corvette engine in '97.  I'm guessing that these ignition coils started life with the LS-1 engine, though they are also used on some other models.  I believe the Vortech truck engines are just iron versions of the LS-1.

Cheers,
Rusty (101F on the ramp, 188F max oil, and 215F max coolant during extended full throttle climb to 8000 ft)
