LS-1 is = an engine=20 designation used by General Motors.  It's an all aluminum 5.7L V.8 = that=20 started life as the Corvette engine in '97.  I'm guessing that = these=20 ignition coils started life with the LS-1 engine, though they are also = used on=20 some other models.  I believe the Vortech truck engines are = just iron=20 versions of the LS-1.
