I would guess not.  RTV on the flange is sealing it to a large heat sink near large water passages.  Turbo housing and its flanges get cherry red.  600* or 700* RTV is going to be useless as teats on a bull IMO.
I'd sure never do it ... Jim S.

I alway thought that silicone was a no-no on all exhaust components.  My turbo says to "Never" use gasket maker on any of the turbo fittings.  But you guys have been using it on the exhaust flange?  I assume on the turbo gaskets as well?  Cool, nice to know it is OK to do that.

    It works for me!
George (down under)         Looking for advice.  I have a small leak at #3 rotor housing
to exhaust flange, detected by a bit of discoloring on a SS
baffle that is about an inch away.  I installed with the stock
Mazda flange gaskets.  I have re-torqued the nuts, no change

Should I: a) Remove and replace gasket?

                       b) Remove and coat gasket with high temp RTV?

                       c) Throw away all three gaskets and use only
        high temp RTV?

                       d)  None of the above and ignore the leak?

I would say C.  Amazing that it works, but it really does work.
