Carl,
Well I can vouch for the Vision and I met Steve Rahm in Daytona and stayed
with him and his family - they are nice people and Steve is as honest as you
can get!
I guess there's better planes, but for back to the basics and cost
effectiveness, the Vision is the way to go.
The reason I'm doing the single is to get the Vision into the Light Sport
category due here in Australia in September. I hold a PPL but I'm hoping the
Light Sport Cat. is less bureaucratic, So the lighter the engine is the
better chance I have of doing that. I will also need things like a Carbon
spar etc.
If you need any advice on the Vision just ask. If people ask me what a
Vision is I tell them it's like a RV but in plastic. They all seem to know
what a RV is.

Hi George
Nice to hear from you. I've been reading yours and everyone else's
posts for something for 4 years now and learned a lot and also very
enjoyable. I also subscribe to the 'other site' and tho I'm just a
lurker, I read everything and soak up what is safe and meaningful and
sideline what is not.
I'm a future rotary wanabe would like to someday build maybe a Velocity
or an RV7? I also looked at all the Vision Info I could find. Maybe
someday......
I think Hawaii to LA is around 2000 miles.
I love this group!! I feel a personal closeness to all the regular
posters after all these years and I was devastated when we lost Paul
Conner. It was as though I lost an old friend.
Be safe all,
Carl Murakami
