2, Use the metering pump pad/drive, to run a small pressure pump to spray lube and circulate oil thru a small cooler.

Both could be unnecessary, and just add to complication, weight, and another point of failure . As someone said, "solving a problem we don't have"

To agree with someone else, I dont think the metering pump has the ability to provide the pressure OR flow needed for what is being suggested. I am going to use engine oil driven by the engine oil pump.
