FWIW  The input RPM are high & the load is constant, in a car transmission they are not as high nor constant.

So it's apple & oranges

Hi George, Don Dunbar was looking at using the metering pump for

gearbox lube. but for now he is just trying the idea of a finned mini

oil bath. Apparently a lot of the marine applications run uncooled gear

oil in big gearboxes, with no problems. FWIW, Dave McC
