check up on the Whipple-charger/KenneBell(for
Fords)/Lysholm - they are all the same just different licence takers from
Lysholm (I think......).
Very high efficiency - up to a certain boost level a
intercooler is not required.
As far as I understand you will have not any
boost-pressure problems that would need a wastegate.
It is a pricey choice though....

Hi Thomas,
Thanks
for the info. Right now, this is all back-burner thought for me,
since I'm working on the Kolb at the moment. Eventually, I'll get
back to the RV-3, but I figure I'll fly it like it is for a while, and
hope I can live with the lackluster 2500 fpm climb
:-)
I
didn't look at any of more traditional type blowers, because I didn't think
they would ever fit. I didn't find any sizes on the pages you
quoted, but the Eaton unit is really much smaller than I imagined.
Now that I think about it, my old supercharged MR-2 had a pretty compact
blower as well. Hmmm.
I also
notice that (I'm spending too much time on this) GM used an Eaton blower on
their 3.8 liter engines for a while. These seem to be available pretty
cheap. I wonder if they turn the right
direction.
Cheers,
Rusty
