Is AVGAS still dyed blue at the refinery and MOGAS dyed red?  Then maybe they leave bluish-grey residue and pinkish-grey residue respectively.

John,  you never saw the gray (sometimes slightly pinkish) 100LL exhaust deposits because  
True. But I'm running 93 octane, not 100LL. I guess it must be additives in the mogas.
