Hi All,

  Here's a little additional perspective.  Even with the exhorbitant shipping, the GMPartsDirect price is rather friendly.  Compare with RockAuto, who wants $42.79 per coil
before they even talk about shipping; even if the shipping was "free" - i.e. included in the price - the GMPartsDirect total price is better.    So, yeah, it is irksome to have some one "low bid" me, and then make it up in shipping.  Nevertheless, if the total cost to my door is better, I'll take it.

  What concerns me more is what happens if I get defective merchandise.  Or damaged merchandise, where the packaging doesn't reflect similar damage.  SERVICE is worth something.
Anyone ever had a "quality issue" with GMPartsDirect?

Regards,
Dale R.

Ignition Coil        GM PN 12558948      OUR PRICE: $32.52    S&H= $25.50
(4 coils) Wire Harness      GM PN 12582190      OUR PRICE: $43.82    S&H= $8.59
Wire Harness      GM PN 12102754      OUR PRICE: $27.17    S&H= $5.33

Total= $39.42

When I bought the above parts from GMPartsDirect on 1-25-05, I got royally
screwed on shipping.  The prices they charged me are listed in blue.  These
were all ordered together, and arrived via UPS in the same little box.
While this still might not be the worst deal there is, the shipping scam
pissed me off.  I think I would call them and tell them I would only order
from them if they charged a reasonable shipping charge.   Cheers,
Rusty (brace yourselves for the next message)
