I must have misread the original post. I thought you were opening the B-lead; it now sounds like you are opening the small control wire & measuring current on the B-lead. If that's the case, you are probably shutting down the alternator. (That still doesn't protect the a/c electronics if the internal regulator fails. We'll talk this weekend.)

You can make it up here; I've ordered tailwinds both ways for you so Ed won't get any. The most hazardous part of the flight is over the swamps in N Fl & you do that all the time going to Tracy's. Think of it as 3 or 4 flights to Tracy's & come on up.
