This is what my Tech Inspector is doing now! He indicated to me that insurance companies look favorably when having the Advisor out to inspect three times during the build. I don't think anyone is suggesting "Police". Just someone with more experience looking over our projects, that might catch something we missed. In return the insurance companies might also look favorably in us again as responsible citizens. LOL Or at least more responsible. I don't want someone policing my build, if that was the case we would all be flying Cessnas, YUCK!

Why don’t we call it a “Rotary Technical Advisor” program. There are Composite, tube and fabric, first flight etc. flight advisors under the EAA umbrella. Insurance companies look favorably on participation in such “programs”. If each state or region has one or two such “advisors”, it may help down the road if you show in your log book one or two inspections from the advisor?
