Todd, I haven't forgotten you. I'm just trying to get the pics together so that you'll have a complete handle on it. This weekend was spent tearing a '86-'88 apart for spare parts. I was stopped in my tracks when my makeshift 'big-nut-remover' didn't work. Just got all bent out of shape without moving the nut.

If you don't have the 2 1/8" socket, hit a few pawn shops. I found one for $5 the day after I paid $23 for a Craftsman. Everything else was 'on hand'.
I made an 'adapter' with a piece of 1" square steel stock about 2' long, cut one end down to 3/4" with a bandsaw to fit the socket, supported the free end on a bucket & turned the whole affair with a big pipe wrench & a 4' cheater bar. 3" x3" angle bolted to the flywheel to hold the engine stable.
