Because you have to carefully flush and dry the system before
installing the Evans, I am waiting until I make and install a
supplemental ducting to augment the cooling before I switch (will have
the radiator off anyway).  So unfortunately, I will not be able to
give a straight up comparison either.

I note that going from straight water (with wetter) to 50/50 there is
about a 20deg. increase in average temperatures.  So with its even
lower specific heat, I fully expect an additional 10 deg increase with
the evan's in exchange for better corrosion resistance, greater safety
margin from boil over, lack of dependence on pressurization, better
anti-freeze protection than water alone, and environmental
friendliness.

I know that ken noted no difference in temps, and that would be great
but I am not expecting that to be the case.  Ken, were you using a
thermostat?  That would explain a lack of temperature difference.

Now that winter is over, I am going back to water today.  Turbo goes
on in 3 weeks, but no time for the ducting and Evans until probably
September.

BTW, when are you going to install that Evan's coolant?  You suckered me
into it, and it's working well.  Unfortunately, I made changes in my cowl
exit area, so I can't compare before and after as well as you will be able
to.

Cheers,

Rusty
