Well, I must admit that sounds better than the inserts I stuck in.  Hey, it might be the thing - but, I am just a bit skeptical of how the ceramic will stand up.  Perhaps well - if you are not using a turbo housing or if you are using a turbocharger to break up the shock wave.  I believe you are using a turbo so it might work out well.

First, I'd like to apologize to everyone, especially Mark, for making such a mess of this thread with my mention that other muffler. 
 
Ed, the Aeroturbine muffler does not have any packing in it.  The muffler I mentioned is the one that had the ceramic. 
 
I do agree with the idea of calling them to ask about the type of stainless, and whether it will hold up to a rotary exhaust.  We know that Spintech is not the only muffler that will survive, since Tracy has a number of hours on his latest muffler. 
 
Mark, are you going to call these guys and find out more info?
