Congrats on the
uneventful testing so far, and also on making it to SNF. Does that mean
you're finally happy with the cockpit noise now?
As for your
compression, have you actually measured it? Are you sure you're not
using too much, or too little oil in the gas (can't remember if you're
pre-mix, or injected).
I hope you get it
sorted out without having to resort to pulling the engine.

My noise was a lot to do with my headset:>) The skinny plastic on
the earmuffs had deterioated over the years and had no passive attenuation. Am
flying with a neighbors and traded my old ones in on the latest Lightspeed
30XL3G.
My compression isabout 70 psi during cranking, YUK! I use premix 2
stroke penzoil of 1 oz per gallon.
