Unlike the RV wing tanks, my RV-3 fuselage tank is quite tall (maybe 24").

I'm wondering where to put the fuel return. Normally submerged near bottom of tank? Near top of tank?

I'm thinking that if I put it near top of tank, the returning fuel will have a bigger chance of evaporating  and going out the tank vent.
Not a factor?

Hi Fin,
I think you should return it to the top of the tank. Evaporation is not an issue, since the fumes are always at maximum saturation for given temperature. That’s why fuel tanks don’t just explode with millions of electric pumps submerged in fuel.
