Hi, Al....very nice looking installation.

Thanks, Paul.

 I am especially glad I took a look at your panel, as I have wanted for a long time to move my throttle to the left side of the instrument panel, but I wanted the panel to be easily removeable. I just noted how you cut the lower left corner out of your panel and made a fiberglass rectangular unit for what appears to be a throttle (or some type of push-pull cable). That would allow my panel to still be easily removed, and give me the throttle position I had hoped for.

Yup, that’s the throttle.  Same idea, stays there when the panel is removed, and is in just the right place so while my arm is comfortably resting in my custom strake cutout (I extended to strake forward to give me elbow room in the door), the throttle is right where my hand is.

 Hope you don't mind if I shamelessly copy you?   Thanks for the great idea.  Paul Conner

Copy away – definitely shamelessly.

Al

I chose the large VFD display for my Velocity.  I think it is too big for the radio stack.  I put it right in front of me, and put the 4 little push button switches through it’s face at  the sides.  You can see my “glass” panel (before labels) with the EC2 and EM2 at http://members.cox.net/alg3/Panel.htm ;
