This just came in from the Canard Aviator's forum.
We had recently discussed the difference between SCAT and SCEET tubing with
regard to it's inner layer seperating. I believe Bulent raised the question of
inner core seperation? Here is some further discussion of the two plus
proper installation procedures. Hope this is useful to someone. Paul

Jog5, When securing the Scat hose, you
should cut the wire and string in such a way that you have an inch "pigtail"
of the pair to bend 90 degrees and secure them under the hose clamp both
ends. This will keep them from unraveling. If
you choose to use SCEET, don't use it on your induction. The inner
liner can pull loose and block the passage. You can use it
on your heat muff, but you will need to inspect it frequently for
blockage. It should only be used in pressure applications.
