Those numbers may very well have come from Lynn - he has been very helpful with info in the past (on another site). It's just I take notes and only recently thought to add the name of the person making the advice - for later comparisons.
A butterfly in the cowl - that's interesting!

The numbers you mentioned pretty much go along with what Lynn has posted in the past.  As for cowl flaps, I've got a dandy brewing.  Actually, it isn't a flap, so much as a butterfly located in the cowl exit.  I'll have it finished and tested next week, and expect to be able to have full control of temps at that point.
