Where are your fuel pumps and filters located?  The air bleed is probably a good idea, but if your fuel feed to the pumps, and the pumps themselves are in a cool spot, then I can't see how the air bleed would be needed.

I wander  about that myself. My fuel lines, fuel filter, and fuel pumps are below tank level. So they are gravity fed and I installed them in such a manner to provide upslope path for any bubbles (making it easy for the bubbles to migrate up and away from the pumps). Do I still need the bypass?
